Abstract

Introduction:  The use of licit and illicit substance has become a public health issue worldwide, specially in Brazil. Pregnant women are a risk group when abusing these substances due to the impairment of the binomial mother-child. Objective: Analyse the repercussion that use of psychoactive substance could bring to mother and newborns, as well as the of possibilities of correct and multidisciplinary prenatal care to detect the abuse of these substances early as well as stimulate to cope with drug use. Methodology: A systematic literature review that used as bank of dades the Google Academico and SciELO, used articles published between 2013 and 2019 in portuguese language and it has descriptors: drugs, prenatal, pregnant, newborns. Results: This study highlights that  prenatal care by pregnant drugs users is fail and demarcated as on of factors for low adherence to group is a prejudice by part of society and healthy workers. Conclusion: The precoce diagnostic is totally important to decrease all complications possibles that abuse of drugs could to cause at mother and at child. However this is only possible if the prenatal care has to be done by correct way with sensitized profesional that guide this pregnant correctly
