ANALYSIS OF SARS-Cov-2 DISTRIBUTION IN THE HEALTH REGIONS OF THE STATE OF TOCANTINS

Abstract

Objective: The objective of this study was to perform a descriptive analysis on the distribution of Covid-19 infection in the various health regions of Tocantins. Methods: An exploratory and descriptive study was carried out, highlighting the number of confirmed SARS-Cov-2 cases reported daily in Tocantins from March 18, 2020 to March 18, 2021. Based on data published daily by the Center for Strategic Health Surveillance Information / SES-TO. Results: Tocantins counted 129,539 cases of the disease on March 18, 2021, of which 110,783 were recovered, 17,001 active cases and 1,755 deaths. Conclusions: The Golden Grass region had the largest number of cases recorded. Thus, it is important to evaluate, in each epidemiological situation of each municipality, the planning and fight of the pandemic.
