Causas maternas para o nascimento prematuro
Revisão Integrativa
Abstract
Prematurity is one of the main causes associated with infant mortality, and anatomical and physiological immaturity, therefore, becomes a global public health problem. The objective was to identify maternal risk factors related to prematurity. This is an integrative literature review of a descriptive and qualitative nature, using the following Boolean descriptors: "Newborn" AND "Nursing" AND "Neonatal Nursing", between the years 2018 and 2022. The inclusion criterion was articles freely available in full text and whose results met the objectives of this study. Exclusion criteria included articles written in languages other than those described above; publications prior to December 2011; texts not freely available in full text; theses, monographs, bibliographic review studies, and repeated texts. Thus, it was observed that the causes are due to pregnant women between 21 and 35 years old, women who did not receive prenatal care, and pregnant women with diabetes and hypertension. Therefore, it is worth highlighting the importance of prenatal care at the beginning of undergraduate studies; in this way, understanding the clinical picture allows for the qualification of care for pregnant women and newborns, with measures for survival.
