Between Tracks and Silences - The Photographic Art of Henrique Ruella Torres

Abstract

The railway bridge over the Manhuaçu River in Aimorés, Minas Gerais, was built in the 1950s with a steel structure brought from Germany by Krupp. Although crucial for regional rail transport, its limited capacity and obsolescence prevented heavy vehicle traffic. In 2012, it was replaced by a new bridge that improved traffic flow. This new bridge was named the New Bridge.
