EDITORIAL: Health Sciences and Other Areas – Special Edition
Abstract
The Cereus Journal publishes, in this Special July 2026 Edition, 30 articles submitted in 2025, as a way of addressing the enormous demand for articles received from a wide range of Higher Education Institutions across Brazil.
Most of the articles come from researchers in the Health Sciences (Nutrition, Obstetrics, Psychology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Epidemiology, Sexuality, Hospitalization, Nursing, Physical Therapy, etc.). However, we also feature contributions from other diverse fields such as Agronomy, Design, Education, Linguistics, and Anthropology.
This edition also brings an important new development: the inclusion of artistic works, not only as a means of dissemination but also as a way of restoring the Journal's multidisciplinary character. In this edition, we feature the photographic work of Professor of Dentistry and amateur photographer Henrique Ruella Torres, as well as that of the young painter, illustrator, and draftsman Gabriel Oliveira Cassimiro, a profound connoisseur of the fauna and flora of the Brazilian Cerrado, from which he draws inspiration for his metaphorical and reflective work.
